Why does my white knight (WK447) tumble dryer only work on high heat?

We have a White Knight tumble dryer (WK447 Sensordry) with 2 heat settings. The low heat setting does not heat up (drum still turns as usual) but the high heat setting still works. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

We've just bought a 2nd hand one without instructions. I'd appreciate if you can explain how the sensordry feature works. Should the dryer stop before the time is up if the clothes get dry ?
Also the time continues to whir until it is switched off at the plug - is there no off switch on the dryer ? Thanks for your help.

Hi, I've got one of these, my heater has packed up today.
I did look at the unit to try and fix it. There are two heating elements one gets a feed when unit is turned on, the switch on the front puts power onto the second element. So when set to hi both elements are on, so I expect the first element is blown and you are just running on the second element. To prove this I would have thought that you would notice that the temp is low!!! Only a guess from what I've seen... It looks like you need to replace the element (both in the one unit). Unsure on how complicated this is!!
Hope this helps
