my vectra knocks when i go over bumps sometimes not to bad then other times it sounds really loud what is it iv been told could be the bushes but which one as there is loads under there

Jack the car up and use a screwdriver to lever the bushes, the worn one should be fairly obvious.
It's usually the rose bushes.

Make sure it's not the exhaust banging on the underside of the car or something loose in the boot/ spare wheel well.
