How can I fix cannon cambridge double oven burner?

The flame in the large bottom oven ignites, but flame does not increase any higher than minimum? even when regulater is turned to a higher number?
any one else had this problem who now knows the answere?

The lower oven of my Cambridge has just devolped the same fault, I also suspect the thermosat but dont have any definate answer I'm afraid.

Sorry Eddie, I have no answeres yet to problem, friend said it might need new Thermostat? but befor rushing out to buy expensive parts I am going to wait and see if some one comes up with a simpler answere befor calling in the experts? Let me know how you get on?
