I have a Whirlpool Fridge ED22TQXFW00 ?

I recently reconnected the water line to it after it had been disconnected for a few months. However, now it does not supply any water when I push the lever back. The ice maker is working fine so I know my water supply is solid to unit. When I push the lever I can hear what sounds like a solenoid humming in the back of the unit, Water valve??

I have removed the wire cover from the top of the door hinge on the freezer side and unplugged the connector then reconnected it. I replaced lamp bulb for the light, and it now woks,

I am stumped here unless the solenoid in the back is bad. I hear it dump ice, and then hear the water refill the tray in the ice maker. I have checked the plastic water line from the door all the way to the back, and it is not pinched, or kinked. The tube looks fine all the way back to the connection point in the back.

Can anyone provide how the wires connect to this 2188542 part? The two valves have separate connector sizes but between them, which way do the connectors go (yes, I failed to mark them when I removed my part for replacement). Does it matter? The original had green for water (larger connector pins) and black for ice (smaller connector pins), in the replacement part, its green and red, respectively.

Hello,

I believe your particular model has a separate water valve for the water dispenser and the ice dispenser. Both valves come as one unit. The part number is 2188542. Hope this helps.
