i have allready checked the floats and i have cleaned and cleaned and cleaned also i have changed all the pins ect as i have 3 carbs and the problem still remains what the heck do i do now ??? apart from buy a new one ??? any help would be great

my minimoto will stat and then it leaks from the bottem of the carb and when u pull the trottle right back it will just die down thanks

is you bike on reserve so it just the bit of petrol out of the reserve in your carburettor witch means as you use the fuel it will keep filling up but becausse it doing that itsd flooding it it happend with my mini moto

Right i have spent hours and hours looking at my mini moto, tightened everything everywhere and i have found the problem. There is an air bubble in the overflow pipe! Simply let it leak again then use your fingers to squeeze the air bubble/bubbles out.

hi, i have the same problem, do u have a fuel filter? i ran mine without and got this problem, i then cleaned everything out and put one in, the problem stoped for a while until it got dirt in there again! and im assuming you have an air filter?

andzz the problem can be one of many.the fuel enters via the pipe the fuel line goes on and goes into the carb via the float needle seat the float bowl fills up and the float rises and pushes the float needle into the hole in the float needle seat and blocks it up to stop the flow of fuel.if it runs out of the overflow then it could be
1 the float needle seat has some sh*t in it and cannot be closed properly.
2 the float itself has a split or hole in it and is not bouyant on th fuel so doesnt go up with the fuel height.
3 the fuel height it#s set wrong because the float needle isnt set right on the float
4 the float needle is sticking on the float and not moving properly(FREELY)
5 the float needle is worn where it fits into the float needle seat and cannot seal propery so the fuel keeps flowing.
6 there is a crack in the casting of the aluminum carb and the fuel is gtting in through that instead.
i have seen allof these over the 17 years i have been a bike mechanic so check all of them.need more help ?just ask for me ok adam

one other thing you could try.
Set carb up, not on bike, and take bottom off and then flow petrol through it and manually work the floats to see if it stops flow of petrol. A bog standard with a tap you switch the fuel on and off you could do it. I did it once for a GZ 550 and the main jets were worn fuel still flowed. Hard to see wear in internals but sounds as though you have tried everything. Carb cleaner halfords cheap enough. good luck!!!

yeh man toright ! GRRRRR!,lol i dont think they are as the mini moto is only 3 months old as i have 3 carbs i have swaped all the bits around the jets and needle all look fine ive put them all in a line all together to see any visual changes to them and they are all exactly the same no ware and tear is visual ?? honnestly i am most dissapointed :-( does any one know how much carb cleaner is as i plan to soak all the carbs and jets pins ,ect over night in carbcleaner and then see what happens then ?? ..lol andzzz :-|

Oh dear... Now at risk of you throwing the computer across the room I would suggest you main jet and needle are worn. It has to be carb there is nothing else really. I will now stand back at the required distance for you to throw the computer at me....lol...

hi ther i have had all the carbs apart as far as they can go and ive made sure its all clean ect then rebuilt them also i did just try unscrewing the petrol filler cap to release the pressure but no the problem still remains AAAAAHHHHHHHHH most annoying ..lol any more ideas? cheers Andzzz :-)

If you are absolutely sure that the carb float and needle jet is clean, and it still floods, just unscrew the petrol filler cap to release any pressure in there and see if the flooding stops.
