Anti-feeze smell?

We have a 1993 Areostar that is smelling like buring anti-freeze and we are having to add more weekly. Also the van is chugging when it hits 80-100km/hr....can anyone help me and tell me what this problem might be?

Need to have cooling system pressurized and have dye in sytem to find coolant leak .......then go from ther .

The burning smell and loss of coolant would have me thinking maybe the head gasket has gone? watery white smoke from the exsause would maybe indacate this,alternatively it could be leaking from a hose on to perhaps the exsause?
