How to fix Yahoo messenger?

I cannot log onto my Yahoo messenger. I will click on its icon and it shows for a moment, then disappears. I have uninstalled, reinstalled a few times to no avail. I still have Yahoo email and can play Yahoo games. Also, If I am playing a game, people on my buddy list can see me online and page me, but I cannot get to my messenger.

can someone at least come up with a solution?? so far everyone is just bitching..grr..yes yahoo is having sign-in problems..that is the general idea..now someone come up with a solution and quit being sheep over here :(

I talk to my friends.. for about 2 days then this Error message comes up and when i clicked close, it shut my yahoo messenger down, now when i log into my yahoo messenger and try to type a message to a friend, it Again shows that Error Message closes my I.M Down. I've reinstalled Yahoo and STILL in a few days it comes back! HOW CAN I FIX THIS!!!

dont feel bad i can sign on but cant see my friends list ..and if i try to uninstall it says it cant continue cuzz its missing a log file so guess im stuck with ghostrider version of it..lol

My yahoo messenger does not come on at all. It gets stuck anytime i try to uninstall or re-install.I was able to uninstall it and reinstall again on safe mode.I tried opening it on safe mode and it open but when i try opening it normally, it doesn't open, My yahoo mail is working properly.

You have to download an older version ,because the newest one may not be computable to your pc. try it ,,, it may works . =)

my yahoo take a long time to open and when it do it always close or won t respond i have download and and redownload still don t fix the promble i have windows vista i download the new version of yahoo and that don t help
