AEG Favorit 43070 Vi Dishwasher leak?

I have a 4 year old AEG Favorit Dishwasher which has recently developed a problem concerning to the anti-flood fault. I have removed the unit form its build-in location and tilled the washer forward to drain the sump. This did over come the problem on at least four occasions however the fault still persists. I have remove the left side panel to reveal a transparent container, on further inspection I have noted that when the dish washer fills with water in a wash cycle, water licks from behind the panel. This would appear to be the cause of the problem. My question is 1) what is this container called. 2) Where could the link come from and 3) Can I fix it myself?

Hi Kevin, I had same problem, I removed the plastic container on right hand side of machine, it is for water inlet, my one had loads of scale build up on the lower right hand side, when it fills up to much it over flows through the square holes into flood device, I cleaned all the scale with a small piece of wire & rinsed it through, it has been working fine since being used every day, I also dried all the float chamber were the anti flood device is, hope this helps
