dishwaser trips breaker?

How can i fix my Ariston L162 dishwasher it keeps tripping the electrics
ian thomas, May 2009
The likely cause is the water heating element has worn out. replacing it should solve the problem

A weak link in things like dishwashers is the water heating element - and it's a likely, most-probable-cause.

The literal answer to your question, "how can I fix?" is to diagnose and repair. Ask yourself questions like...

At what point in the washing cycle does the fault happen?
Does the fault happen on all washing programmes?
What can I eliminate quickly and easily?
Does the "trip" take out just a power circuit or the whole house?

Your other options apart from self repair are to call in an engineer, or to replace the machine. - A warranty claim, if you are able, is preferable.

In the UK Comet are quite good - if you order before 1pm and they have it in stock (at their depot) they will deliver next day.
