Your house's walls and floors/ceilings may be blocking the signal, in which case there is nothing that you can do with your current kit. You could use a WiFi Repeater or Ethernet wires or Homeplugs. (Search web for what they are.)
Alternatively you may have interference from a neighbour. Search the web for a utility called inSSIDer. It will help you choose a WiFi channel that is not in use.
