6.5 Hp Briggs and Stratton Push Mower will not stay running?

My 6.5 HP Briggs and Stratton start fine after one or two pulls but quits running after only ten seconds. But it continues to run if i continue to pump the primer button after i start it . When i quit pumping the primer
button it quits running.
