could u show me an image of a ford zetec engine block?

my 2000 v reg mondo 2.0l petrol zetec has blown its head gasket and there are grooves between the pots on the head, is that normal or should the head be smooth?

sorry you have head damage,it will need a skim,the mating face of the head should be perfectly flat.
