Why does my Creda oven heater element keep breaking?

I have replaced the heater element in my Creda oven (model no. 48291/2) 3 times within the past year. Surely the element should last a fair bit longer than that? Is there something else which is causing this problem? i.e faulty thermostat or something? Thanks

hi if it is the circular fan element on the back panel of oven then check that the fan is turning when oven is on you may also be aware that the oven sprays for cleaning ovens can ruin fan elements...when you spray the cleaner into oven the interior atmophere is dense with very harsh chemcals then when you put oven on the fan draws the dense air through the back panel and on to fan element and fan motor, hope that helps also you want to check oven temperature after you've set oven at say 200c for half an hour after placing a suitable oven probe in the centre it should not read read more than 10c under or over...
