ecu warning light on?

hi i have just had my 2000 vectra plugged up to a tech2 to tell me the reason my engine management light is on because it has stored two fault codes the inlet air temp sensor and the mass air flow senor have been recorded, what are the most likely things to check that could have made these report faults,my mechanic has said i need a new ecu typical mechanic they always go for the most expensive !!!please hlp anybody

Buy these 2 sensors are your mangement light will go off. WHAT THE HELL HAS THIS GOT TO DO WITH REPLACING THE ECU. THE GARAGE WELL THOUGHT THAT YOU WERE GOING TO BE EASY TO CON.
Kind Regards.

This is a common problem ive come across, the faults are the mass air flow sensor and the air temp sensor.
Very common fault they both go wrong with wear and tear and normal operation.
