How can I fix my mountfield sp530 ?

Hi! the mower is about 10 years old, it is a Mountfield sp 530, when I pull the cord to start the engine nothing happens, the cord feels as of there is nothing there.
checked oil and petrol, does anyone know if there is a fixit video to watch to help me understand the working and repair this mower. please take into condideration that I am a WOMAN and know nothing about cars or engines. Pooo!!! Whooo!!!! me.
Or can anyone help!!! I do pickup instructions easy, I am not a complete numpty.

Mountfield used Tecumseh and Briggs engines (as well as Honda and Suzuki) over the years - the procedure varies, but essentially you will have to remove the recoil start assembly, which may mean removing the entire engine cowl (not as bad as it sounds!). When it's off, you will be able to see why the starter is not rotating the flywheel to start the engine. More than likely, it's just in need of a squirt of WD40 to free up the starter pawls.
