the petrol tank is not blocked, is there a part which is likely to need replacing? it hasn't been used since last summer. There may be something which people have to replace? It almost starts but just wont. It is two years old.

Is it full of petrol from last year? If so, there's your problem - 12 month old petrol is fit only for starting bonfires.

If this is the case, fill the tank with fresh fuel, and losen the carb bowl to allow the fresh petrol to flush out the old stuff.
