I can't get hot water without heating?

If I set boiler to water only I get nothing, I have to put my heating on as well to get hot water. The boiler is an alpha cb24

Sounds like the Micro Switch which plugs onto the Diverter valve may have come unclipped, or the Hot Water Diaphragm my be failing and not moving the Diverter valve across to the Hot Water position.
