How do I replace the belt on a Fisher and Paykel ED56 clothes dryer. I have removed the back of the appliance but I cannot see how I get remove the existing or reinsert the new belt without somehow removing the front part of the applicance as well to get it around the drum. Appreciate your assistance

Can you send me instructions to replace a belt on fisher and Pykel dryer model ed56 to me

Janet Jones, June 2015
Once back panel is removed you will see that the drum is held in place each side by a bracket with 2 screws fastening the bracket to the cabinet body. Remove the 2 screws & this will give you room to put the belt over & around the drum. You will also have to disconnect the wires from the element & thermostat so you can get the belt past the wiring. Make a note or drawing before removing the wires to make sure you get the right colours back in the same place they come off.
