My alarm keep going off every 6 hours!?

My alarm keeps going off every 6 hours! Internally and externally for 20ish minutes.

How can I just shut it off completely?

My 4 digit code doesnt work. The batteries are fine and full of life. The alarm system is a 9452... though doesnt seem to have a brand name.

Is there a way I can just pull out a fuse and that will stop the external? Or once the alarm has gone off for 20 mins is that it until the alarm is reset?!

Help before my wife kills me if our 8 month old baby wakes up again!

The system installed is a Cooper Security/Scantronic 9452 - Obsolete. Alarm systems usually have 3 power sources: -
Main control panel (this is where all the devices wire to) = Mains & internal battery.
Extarnal bell = supply from main alarm + Internal battery.
If you switch the mains off and disconnect the battery in the main panel and external bell then that should kill your system.

If you want a profesional alarm company to look at your system either contact the original company or goto www.nsi.org.uk to locate local companies.

Call out whoever installed it, it's their responsibility under the service contract.

Of course, if you installed it, you know how to fix it, disconnect it even.

Just switching off the mains, pulling the battery will only make things worse, there is another battery outside!
