V Fit Los Angeles 2 Treadmill - Failure?

We have a V Fit Los Angeles 2 Treadmill, CE SDA 311071, Model C710BF21EB4-E9.

It has suddenly stopped working. The safety magnet is correctly in place. There are no indications on the console illuminated. I have taken the cover off of the motor and electrical equipment housing. I cannot see anything obviously wrong but I am not an electrician. There are no loose wires and nothing appears burnt. When the power is turned on I can hear a faint electrical arching from a metal unit with SCHAFFENR written on the top, one end has LOAD and the other LINE written on the top also. There are no lights illuminated and no other noises from the mechanisms.

Any ideas please what might have failed please?

Thank you.

Had the same happen to my treadmill as well. Ended up replacing the motor and the MCB beny sports where fantastic and the parts arrived quickly.

Also wondering can anyone confirm how to lubricate the belt. I was told there was a small hole to put lubricant in under the belt but I can't see it, the directions on the bottle I have also state the same. Been browsing online and it says to slacken the belt and put the oil direct onto the machine, then to walk on it at a steady pace to spread it round. Just want to double check as don't want to damage it.

Also had same problem : vfit just suddenly stopped working. Checked out fuse on MCB with Beny customer support. Yes, an 8 amp one is required. Did this, replaced old and display lit up OK. But as soon as the programme counted down to start treadmill, the fuse blew again - and violently. My electrician pal suspected the fuse was not "slow burn" so he suggested taking small drive belt off motor end and try again to see if the motor ran without load on it. No luck - fuse blew to pieces. In light of previous answers, it seems that Darren's solution is best - a new MCB.

I have the same problem the motor won't move the running belt with the error E1 showing. If reset and the running belt moved manually the the motor runs but the speed is erratic. Is the Problem the motor or the circut board? I personally think the board is the problem, but what is the solution.

If you blow a fuse then slacken the bellt compleatly and replace fuse. Then run the mill at full speed with no load on the bellt. If the fuse blows again you have a motor problem. MAYBE BRUSHES.

Yes. Circuit board fuse is under the bottom cover. Still having problems getting mine to work. Eventually found email address for v-fit manufacturers customer support, who informed me all v-fit treadmills use 8 Amp Slow Burn Fuses on their circuit boards. So went to a local Maplins store and bought a 8 Amp Time Delay fuse, which I believe are same as Slow Burn.

On replacing new fuse, I initially thought it had done the job. On switching on machine beeped (good start) and top display lit up (another good sign) entered program details and pressed start, started to work then just cut out again and not working at all again (not good :-).

Still looking into it, any help/hints anybody please?

Hi Terry

Same thing happened to mine yesterday. I had bought mine 2nd hand about 1 year ago and was working OK, then likes yours it simply cut out while using it.

Tried the obvious and changed fuse, still no joy. Like you have taken casing off to look at motor etc, but nothing seems to be amiss.

I noticed you did not get any replies to your post from June. Did you manage to find out from other means what the problem was. If so please let me know.

Thank you.
