Beko WMA 520 S Very loud banging noise on spin cycle?

The washing machine was bought on 7th Feb 08 so it is out of its years warranty.

The washing machine has been pulled out and the top removed and then switched on to check for movement/ loose parts, but i couldn't see anything apart from the brick that sits ontop of the drum has started to crumble.

I reduced the spin speed but still made no difference. Does anybody have any ideas as to what it could be? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

mine is making the same noise and i've just checked the machine and its the concrete block on the bottom of the drum LOOSE

the problem is the concrete brick on the bottom of the drum, there is visible signs of brick dust under the washing machine, i have managed a little turn of the bolts which seem to have cured the noise however i think a couple of penny washers may make the brick tighter

my machine has started with exactly the same problem, will try the above advice, did anyone fix there machine it seems like a common fault

check concrete weight on bottom of drum (if fitted) and also suspect bearing failure.try lifting the inner stainless drum up and down vertically.also if the heater has come out of its clamp inside the drum it bangs on the tub and makes a bad noise.remove the element and see if the heater clamp has come off.usually ends up in the filter or the hose down to the filter if missing.
