engine management light on, fault code 24095 025.2 loss of power.i have been trying to find what the problem is with my car and by reading things on forums and other sites i think i may need my egr vaulve cleaning????? but i dont know where it is can any body please help, i think it may be this but not a 100% certain one more thing dont know if its linked but 2 weeks before this light has come on a tapping noise from around the cam belt area has got louder and louder the cam belt got changed about 10,000 miles ago someone did mention the problem may be that the belt wants tightening but would this make the engine management ligt come on??????????thanks for any help

I have a 01 astra 16 16v,2yrs ago emg light on car runninig a little bumpy in 1st,2nd changed spark plugs,ran a little better, light still on,went on astra forum,somebody said egr valve and theres a main dealer reprogram of ecu (£40),to bypass this ExaustGasRecirculationValve,tried this
didnt work even maindealer workshop manager couldnt explain what reprogram did?? did try to give a £750 fault list with egr valve at £110 plugs £40,to mention a few went to a auto elec a knew ,his workmate chirped up,ive a 03 asrtra same prob a while ago recomend Valve Detox £10 at a motor factors 1/4 tank petrol chuck it in ,dual carriage way high revs, next full tank and a full bottle of detox,long run,(good job i was going to hereford from sunderland the following week) then i did another full tank &detox for return trip... Light went out and never faulted in 2yrs Priced egr valve at £40 andrew page motor factors,splugs £12 hope this helps in some way.
