TomTom One V2. Green light comes on when charging Ok. Have installed a brand new battery and it is fully charged. Tried the reset method from Tomtom. Still will not turn on. Connected it to Home PC. PC cannot find it. Hoping to reinstall Tomtom home on it.....HELP Please. Thanks

i had the same problem with my tomtom one v4.
i found a very nice chap in birmingham who fixed the problem in 2 hours.charged me only 25 pounds.call him on 01217727521.maybe he can help you.

it's the power on switch, took mine apart when i had the green light of death, soldered 2 wires onto the terminals and hey presto, touch on.........touch off

I had the same problem on my Go710 and thought it was the battery that wouldn't charge up. I bought a fitted a new one, but it didn't sort the problem out. I looked around on the net and found that the problem is common when using a faulty or inadequate charger. I bought a new one on ebay (about £5), plugged it in for a couple of hours, pressed the reset button on my satnav a couple of times, and hey presto!! it's back to life!!! Hope that works for you too.
