Hi Squire, def sounds like air management system, air intake control valve or idle vale may need cleaning with wd40, the other thing is vauxhalls have this annoying fault with the rocker gasket leaking and you may find that your plugs are full of oil!! depending on the age of the car its quite expensive to repair would you believe!

COULD BE THERE IS A SMALL BORE RUBBER PIPE ADRIFT ON THE AIR INTAKE SYSTEM AT THE MANIFOLD AND /OR THE THROTTLE BODY. THE OIL LEAK COULD BE A SYMPTOM OF A BREATHER PROBLEM WHICH IS LINKED TO THE EMMISSION SYSTEM, BUT A LEAK, UNLESS THE SPARK PLUGS ARE COVERED IN OIL WILL NOT AFFECT IT
