Have replaced battery in key however key is still not working I know I need to reconfigure the key how do I do this. For a v reg vauxhall astra club.

Any suggestions

put key into ignition turn one click then press to lock then press unlock key will reset itself

Do you mean your central locking is not working or your engine won't start?
If central locking not working via keyfob operation (only via key in lock), then you prob need a new keyfob.
If unable to start car. Put key in ignition, turn to the on position, don't start cat. Then press keyfob button.
