on a right hand drive ford escort (newer models) you can see the pipes in the engine bay on the passenger side you will need to dissconnect these and then remove the 2 screws that hold in the rubber seal then go in to the car you will have to raise most of the dash and pull the heater equipment forward so the dissconnected pipes on the heater end are free there is about an inch of pipe on the heater matrix once this is free you remove the two screws and slide it out of the side its not an easy job im doing it currently too to replace just follow the procedure in reverse
