For my Creda dryer I had to remove the top, to drop the belt over the drum. Laid the unit down on it's front, to gain access to the motor shaft. You will see idler arms, before you remove those note their position and orientation, there is a spring that ties them together. These idler arms keep the tension on the belt. Once you have this done, put the unit right side up , and check the belt postion by rotating the drum by hand. The belt is to follow the original wear line of the previous belt.
