If it a Zafira B and the two side clip fail to open after you have opend the glove box then the easy way to fix it is put a small screw in the rod which can been seen through a small hole you may have to enlarge the hole so you can move the rod. .the only down side is that when you open the box you have to move the screw to allow the two clips each to come out to lock the box but fter a while you get use it is (My car is a Zafira B 05 design)
