my oil light is staying on all the time - at first it was just when i started car up in mornings - now its all the time - i have checked the oil level - this is correct amount - what else could it be/

It mentions the oil pressure sensor - oil pump - blocked oil arteries inside the engine & these last two being potentially expensive if not resolved.

The dash light tells of oil pressure - not oil level
