I'm in a rented flat and have come to use the washer/dryer for the first time tonight. Its an APM 8702. I've loaded it up, set the dials as per instructions and turned it on. The orange light is coming on, but there ain't anything happening at all.

Does anyone have any ideas, am I missing something obvious perhaps?

Make sure the Dryer dial is set to off.

All I'm trying to do is put on a 40 degree wash, no drying. It looks like the machine will switch on with a pre-wash set for 95 degrees, so there must be something I'm missing. Manual is no help at all!
