Slow pulling off,and slow in general fiat punto?

I have a fiat punto 1.2, and tonight it was rediculously slow pulling off, and driving in general until i got to around 40ph.
what can i do?..

have it put on a code reader you may have a under lying fault like, a coil pack breaking down intermittently then chiming back in
