Whirlpool AWZ 121 drum not spining?

Hi... The drum on my AWZ 121 Tumble Drier will not spin. I had a problem with the heater (none there) and have identified the main Element at the back to be faulty (Circuit always open). The drum was spining before but won't now and i can't find the problem. I presume that the drum will spin with the back off (i can't find a micro switch that would stop this), so i'm beaten....any help would be greatly appreciated

OK... I've sorted it. It looks as though i've got a faulty start switch as well. I've by-passed the start switch and the drum works perfectly.

Thanks for your help

two things, is the belt on the motor spindle ? does the drum start if you push it ? if it starts with a push then it`s the start capacitor. it`s located next to the motor....silver thing with red an blue wire`s attached may need replacing
