LH indicators not working?

406 diesel Hdi estate. LH indicators suddenly stopped working. Agents said fault in computer and wants over £400 to replace it.
Could I fit an independant flasher unit and if so, can anyone supply me with a wiring diagram?

Thanks for all your help, I have found an electronics workshop where they can either fix the interface or replace it. Either way it will be much cheaper than taking it to the agent.

If right hand indicator still works - operate RH indicator and locate relay flasher unit from the noise coming from the relay ?

Yes car has tow bar but I don't think its that. Haynes manual shows the indicators go through interface, but doesn't show where the flasher unit is located

On the off chance does the car have a tow bar perhaps wiring in tow bar electrics socket may be the reason???

Yes Maurice checked bulbs and earth connections. Forgot to mention that the car is a peugeot

Thanks popeye, checked all fuses and relay must be ok as right indicators still work. I have an old flasher unit which I could possibly fit, but I need a wiring diagram. Youre right about a rip off charging £400 to fix an indicator that's for sure. thanx again

Hi Jimbo, wat a rip off!! I think that Agent should be charged with robbery! have you checked the fuses? I dont think for one minute its the cars brain because they dont usually control things like indicators etc, wish I could be of more service but I would definately start with the basics,i.e fuse, it should tell you in thwe handbook which number fuse it is and were it is,good luck.
