the side lights come on.the indicators work.the brake lights work.
my problem starts when the indicator is on and the brake is applied they both flash.
side lights on apply brake lights dim
when the brake indicator and side lights applied together nothing works..
do you think this is an earth problem or just bad old connections
could be a bit of both so check the power supply connections are CLEAN then do the same for the earth connections at the light units,NOW find and test the towing coupler earth connection don't forget this comes from a earthed point on the CAR

A high resistance earth circuit, without a doubt! Go over all of the earth connections, from bulb holders through to the plug, and continue to the socket earth on the towing vehicle.
