My mechanic told me that I need a new timing chain ?

I have a Nissan Almera Y registration my Mechanic told me that I need a new Timing Chain and the cost will be £900.00 is it worth me getting the car fixed. Should I fix my car or not??

did ours cost of new chain tensioner £280.00,did not need to remove engine can be done through driverside wheel arch

I just bought a crankshaft sensor for my almera and whilst at the dealers enquired about the timing chain. It's £170 ish for the chain and £70 for the tensioners and should take no more than 4 man hours to resolve.#
Not a cheap job but should be around £600 at the most for the basic fix.

The reason it's so expensive is the engine has to be removed from the car !! the book time for the chain replacement is 13 man/hrs !!!
