Hi iv just got a mini moto, new to these things, erm well i was riding it and it konked out and i tried starting it again but the pull start is jammed it won't let me pull it at all need help please thanks

its ok m8 it was the flywheel that was jammed but i just gave it a kick and it unjammed it jamms now and then and i have to take the pull start off and force it to unjam it, probably need a new fly wheel, but thank you for your help any way m8.

steve i'm slightly confused about this metal bit, can you explain what it looks like & exactly where it is? you've taken off the pull start & when its out of the bike if works ok (yes)? do you think you might have the pull cord string wound in the wrong direction so when pull it on the bike it's not spinning the engine in the right direction for it to start.

No i mean like when i take it off it pulls fine but when i put it back on theres a metal bit in the way that's jamming it and not letting me pull it.

sounds like return spring has come off its mountings & the cord is now jammed. it a common fault with a lot of those pull start machines especially the cheap imported stuff. to fix it you will have to take the pull cord cover off, they're tricky enough to fix if you never took one apart before but chances are that its worn out anyway so just replace it.
