vectra 1996?

i have a vectra 1799cc n reg 1996
i have changed the idle control valve with a new one but now the engine is stalling
can you tell me what is wrong

change sparks and plugs and replace rocker gasket maybe oil in there. if there is oil peresent drain it out with a syringe and towels dont take out sparks till oil is clear otherwise car will smoke like hell
