I wouldnt recommend it as its a pain to do..first you need the correct size and grade cord. then you will damage the lock star which holds the end of the blind. and a special tool to lock the cord into the center joiner or knoting the cord to center the blind correctly..and they damage very easily as they do become brittle with the sun..the cost to have it repaired would be not be cost effected labour wise with postal charges etc.. you could have a new headrail only at a cost of 50% less than complete and use your own slats..
