How can I fix short in Rowenta "Professional" model Iron?

I love our Rowenta Iron - it seems to be shorting out. Problem seems to be where cord connects to iron. It has a "rotating" ball where cord meets iron. The iron shuts off when I move the cord at that location. Would like to know if there is a tool that will fit the screws on back plate. A Phillips screwdriver will not do the job. I'm sure we could just tighten the loose wire if we could get plate off back of iron. Thanks.

My Rowenta Professional Luxe Model DM 860 iron has an intermittent open circuit in the cord, or the "ball joint" connecting the cord to the iron. The heel plate is attached with a two torx screws with a center pin. How do you recommend I remove the cord to find the intermittent electrical problem?

You need a torx screwdriver to take the screw out, the screwdriver looks like a star on the head instead of the four prong phillips. You can get a set of three at Sears or any hardware store.
