renault espace 111 1998 petrol speedometer failed?

hi does any one know how to fix an electronic speedometer it works ok now and again but sometimes it goes mad from 0 to 120 and then it will give the correct reading i think it may be a sensore any idears

Sounds like the sensore on the gearbox has packed in, you'll prob need to replace it.
