Past experience with F12 on indesit washers has been the eeprom failing on the main module. They are replaceable. It will introduce a communication failure which can result in many other symptoms - drum not turning, filling and emptying at the same time etc. Will sometimes show various error codes over period of time before failing completely. A job for a service engineer really.
