Creda Condenser Dryer not working but power is there?

Creda condenser dryer, model T622CW.
Power is getting to the tumble dryer so it is not a case of a blown fuse.
The motor is not working to drive the drum but the belt is ok.
The heater elements are not heating.
With most functions not working I'm wondering if it is the 'control unit' that is at the front, top, right hand side of the dryer when viewed from the front.
Some heat is being transferred to the bottom of the drum, felt when manually turning the drum to look at the belt.
