range rover overheating?

i have a 99 range rover 4.0, i just replaced the radiator and thermostat but it still overheats what is causing this?

Check all the usual suspects first, rad, hoses and make sure you bleed the system properly when you fill it.

If all this is good, then it's probably the rear cylinder liners cracked and allowing exhaust gas into the water jacket. Common fault if they overheat and terminal.
