Renault Megane Ignition problem?

My Megane Dynaminque 1.4 '05 model has an intermittent problem with the ignition. Even with the purchase of a new ignition card on occasions it will not start on the first few attempts, when it does it will not switch off unless I stall it. If it starts the first time it switches off ok. Can anyone please throw any light on this for me.
