throttle cable snapped, aprilia, sr50?

How do I replace the throtle cable on 50cc aprilia sr moped
Ben, June 2009
a bit of a time consuming job but from my experience working on peds, the top cowlings around the handlebars, front headlight panel, bottom undertray & side panel to get to the carb all have to come off to gain access to the cable & where to re-route the new one. good idea to oil the new cable with some light machine oil to stop it seizing up at a later date. once you have the panels off, slot the cable into the accelerator grip & using the old cable as a guide, feed the new one through the bike. you will have to take the top of the carb off to fit the other end of the cable. after you've done that remove the old cable & bolt everything up. if you have a manual, the pictures will help you with the repair.
