reg/recs always go on hondas they are made my shindengen a japanese company but im not saying thats the fault.do the indicatos do anything over the 1200 rpm mark ,do they come on but not flash or flash too fast or too slow or not come on at all.p.s a company that most bike shops deal with called hi level do a replacement reg/rec labelled as tourmax but it is in fact a shindengen one with a sticker ove r the top of it.and its about half the price than honda sell them for but its exclty the same.

No added bits at all, and no bulb replacement, I did think that the alarm might be causing the problem, but that checks out fine, have done some reading, and found that the regulator could be causing the problem, either that or the alternator.................thanks for your suggestions

you'd imagine if the voltage regulator was faulty that other electrical components would be also giving trouble but you can check it out handy enough with a multimeter? a couple of other things to check, have you replaced any of the bulbs? wrong amperage bulbs would effect how your indicators work. have you recently fitting any other mods e.g. alarm etc? it's an unusual problem for which the fix has to be staring you in the face.

Cheers for the interest Steo.
Indicators standard ones, new relay fitted, prior to new relay they didnt work at all...............since the post ive been checking them out, not sure, but maybe voltage regulator !!!!

there could be a few things wrong so are your indicators a replacement part or modification? are they led? i would check if the indicator relay is faulty & if they're led, i believe the resistors can give trouble.
