Digital Camcorder?

Cassette film: My camera: >Canon MV930 camcorder.
Has anyone experienced reduced quality of picture by recording OVER previously recorded material on mini DV cassettes?

The short answer to my own question of re-recording over previous recording on a mini DV cassette is NO don't do it! that's from a profesional.

The long reason why! 'frame dropout' that is a frame/s can get lost during recording you think its all covered until you 'play back' and find frames missing. Fine for practising using the camera and built in transitions but for those important occasions use a new film and download to DVD don't rely on keeping them on the cassette as its said film deteriorates. Oh! make a copy of the DVD as a 'Master copy' to keep safe incase the viewing DVD gets damaged.
There that's it.
