The dishwasher won't drain at the end of a cycle. I've removed the bottom and the back panels, but what do I do next? There is a plastic "drum" which looks full of gunk...could this be the problem. How can this be opened and cleaned? Or perhaps there's another problem?

on the inside near the filters remove the filter and on the left side there is a screw undo the screw and remove the cover. you will see the pump impella check the pump for broken glass ao seeds jamming pump.turn the impella be hand if not jammed reassemble the cover and screw and test if it stlll not working check the hose under the sink for a blockage at the fitting.
