Water not draining on hotpoint wma33 washing machine?

I have managed to drain the water down and checked the outlet pipe for blockages, but want to know if i need to check elsewhere for any possible blockage areas or go ahead and fit a new pump and if i go down the pump road is it fairly straight forward.

Have you tried to open and check the filter isn't blocked-mine is situated behind the kickplate at the front, unscrews and can be removed for cleaning. It will leak out water if any is left so take precautions. Hope this helps.
