Does the Gardtec 350 have a battery inside ?

When there is a power failure, our Gardtec 350 alarm sounds weakly for 20 - 30 seconds then stops.
An engineer changing our electricity meter said it should not sound at all.
Should the alarm go off following a power failure and does its weakness indicate there is a battery inside the control box which needs replacing ?

Most alarms have a battery inside yours most certainly will and it needs replacing. See my reply to recent post 'changing battery on Guard Tec alarm'
